Varietal: Pineau d’Aunis

Pineau d’Aunis, like the Grolleau and the Menu Pineau, this grape is grown only in the Loire Valley and often used in blends in Touraine. It can also be used by itself to make light bodied red Coteaux du Loir.

Loire Valley wines set the international standard for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc. Loire Valley Pinot Noir, Malbec and Gamay are also excellent. And Melon de Bourgonge (Muscadet) Grolleau and Pineu d’Aunis are grown nowhere else.
