Varietal: Pinot Gris
Although it is internationally know for white wines, Pinot Gris is used in the Centre Loire region to make lightly colored rose. The word "gris" means gray in French. The skins of Pinot Gris grapes are darker than white grapes but ligher than red ones and they can impart a very subtle color to the wine.
