We’re guessing that quite a few of you are taking time off in the next two weeks, heading away somewhere and keeping the cooking simple. So here are links to two hamburger recipes, one from 1956 and the other from 2003.  One is clearly more “gastronomic” than the other, but which do you think you would prefer? This is basically the same question posed by the annual Burger Bash at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival where celebrity chefs compete to have their creations named the best burger. In 2011, Rosé d’Anjou was the exclusive wine at the event. We’ll keep our opinion to ourselves about our favorite, but the refreshing, tangy and subtly sweet blend of Cabernet Franc, Grolleau and Gamay was a great match with all the contenders.
